Knitting I

A class for those new to knitting or for those who haven’t picked up needles in a while and are looking for an easy project to get back into it!

This 8 week class is great for anyone who wants to learn to knit - children AND adults! Accepting up to 8 students for each class. Fourth grade and up.

New knitters will learn how to cast on, do the knit stitch, join and knit in the round, decrease and bind off. All students will be provided materials to make at least one hat and one dishcloth. If a student wants to make more things (yay!), instruction will be provided.

A knitting bag, written pattern instructions, needles and yarn are provided at the first class!

Winter Session: January 12 - March 9
Class meets every Thursday afternoon 2pm-3pm

Afternoon Spring Session: March 8 - May 3
Class meets every Wednesday afternoon 2pm-3pm (no class April 12th)

Evening Spring Session: March 8 - May 3
Class meets every Wednesday evening 7pm-8pm (no class April 12th)

Cost: $110 due at first class.

Knitting II

A class for those who already know the basics of knitting and want to try slightly more challenging projects. Accepting up to 8 students for each class. Fourth grade and up.

Knitters will learn how to purl and read a pattern, in addition to practicing skills already learned.

Students will be provided with a copy of Susan B. Anderson's Kids' Knitting Workshop, needles and a kitting bag (if needed), and yarn to make a project of their choice from the book.
