Handsome Boy Coat

So, I knit this coat up last fall for my then three year old. But it was too big!  Catastrophe!

Heeeeeyyyyyy... Whaddaya YOU doin?
Until I put it on him this year and it fits with room to grow.  Now I'm happy that it's still new.

This photo shoot went really well, because I promised a popsicle and a movie afterwards. TOTALLY worth it.

I'm going to get my treat now, Mom.

Catching Up

It has been bothering me that I don't have many pictures to show from the past 4 years of knitting. I did have two new babies in that time and managed to keep the others alive and kicking, but STILL.

This knitted bunny was a Christmas present for my oldest daughter last year. She absolutely LOVES him, as she does all her knitted things. It's so satisfying to knit for people who love their gifts so much!

This is my middle daughter's birthday sweater from last year. If it looks a little shabby, it's because she SLEEPS IN IT. That my children want to sleep in their knitwear is just the best thing ever!

My baby girl. I made this "dress" for her as an infant, and now it's barely a tunic.  Still super cute though!

Pumpkins are food, right?  That's what I thought.  *Nom-nom.*

My favorite cowl of the fall! I never wear purple, but I was looking for something to wear during Advent and Lent. And all the other days of the year...

Hey folks. Remember me?  It's been awhile.

You may have thought (as did I) that when I wrote the death of Knitty McPurly back in July of 2013, that she was really and truly dead. Much like Sherlock Holmes, she is back. (cue the Aerosmith music)

I can't even tell you how much stuff I've knit since 2013. Ravelry can't even tell you, because I've only uploaded a handful of projects.  But...  it was some stuff. Let me tell you. Toys, scarves, hats, fingerless gloves, mittens, leg warmers, and let's not even talk about the sweaters. It was a lot of sweaters.

Right now I'm regretting keeping no record of all this knitting beyond the actual knitted garment. Because then I could have a post dedicated to all those pictures.  For now you'll have to content yourself with this sweetie in her legwarmers.  She looooooooves them.  She's an accessory kind of girl.

There's more to come.  I hope you'll join me!
