You guys - this sweater has CAPTIVATED my imagination ever since I first saw it. All I did was highlight it on the Knitting Fantasies segment of my weekly podcast, and then I couldn’t stop thinking about how amazing it would look in WHITE.
What if, I thought, I used many shades of white in different textures?! Maybe a tiny bit of speckle. Lots of interesting bases to add texture. And then I thought - WHAT IF I MADE KITS?! And here we are.
Most of the kits in my shop are always available, but this is a LIMITED KIT. I am making a fixed number of them and then they will no longer be available.
Click here to purchase the pattern. It’s a Knitalong right now, and you can get the first clue right away! Subsequent clues are delivered as follows:
Part 1 (Back): N-O-W
Part 2 (Front): August 10th
Part 3 (Right Front): August 17th
Part 4 (Left Front): August 24th
Part 5 (Hem and Sleeves): August 31st
Kits include all the white yarn you need, in multiple shades and speckles, for your size and will VARY.
Kits include:
- 1-2 full 100g skeins of Freetown Fingering for the back
- 1-2 100g skeins of Fiji Fingering for the sleeves
- 50g (all sizes) of a gold stellina base (92% Extra Fine Superwash Merino, 8% Gold Lurex, 50g / 218 yds / 200 m) for the hem
- An assortment of 20g minis for the stripes, cuffs and neckline. 20g minis include these bases in multiple shades of white:
Suri Silk Laceweight (use just like fingering weight!)
80/20 Superfine Merino/Mulberry Silk Blend
80/20 Superfine Merino/Recycled Nylon Blend
Frankfurt Fingering
Fiji Fingering
Freetown Fingering
Here’s the sizing breakdown!
XXS, XS, S and M1: 100g for back + 100g for sleeves + 50g for hem + twelve 20g minis for stripes, cuff and neckline
M2: 100g for back + 100g for sleeves + 50g for hem + fourteen 20g minis for stripes, cuff and neckline
L1: 100g for back + 120g for sleeves + 50g for hem + fourteen 20g minis for stripes, cuff and neckline
L2 and XL: 120g for back + 120g for sleeves + 50g for hem + fourteen 20g minis for stripes, cuff and neckline
2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL: 200g for back + 200g for sleeves + 50g for hem + sixteen 20g minis for stripes, cuff and neckline
Note on 4XL and 5XL: These two sizes have one more stripe that uses a very small amount of yarn. I recommend using up a scrap for elsewhere in the kit for that last stripe.
